Shaped by spirit,
nature and
untamed forms.

Hi, I’m Kaila—the artist & founder behind Pili Studio.

Pili means bonded together; connected. This word anchors everything I create: art that speaks quietly, looks deeply, and lives honestly in your space. My work is an ongoing dialogue between inner rhythm and outer form—where intuition, nature, and the tangible meet.

What I Make

Relief prints, photographic studies and small goods inspired by:

  • natural remnants found along shore and trail

  • floral moments that pause the eye and soften the mind

  • wind-soft shapes that echo instinctual motion

Each piece is handmade, one print at a time. I also work on larger studies—like horse photography and textured botanical work—exploring freedom and presence, movement and stillness.

Every piece is thoughtfully curated, hand-pressed, hand-signed and meant to be lived with, not just looked at.

Where I Create

I live and make in Atlantic Beach, Florida, though the southern California coast could also be considered a place I call home—a place shaped by sea, sun and long quiet tides.

This environment informs my work—not just the imagery—but the rhythm of it: slow, reflective and deeply connected to the natural world.

Why It Matters

Art, to me, isn’t decoration.
It’s a space holder — for thought, breath, memory, and quiet renewal.

Each work carries intention, time and subtle imperfections that make it truly one-of-a-kind.

A Note on Intention

I work at the pace that preserves joy — not pressure. I balance process with presence, making space for creativity that sustains rather than drains.

Your presence here matters. Thank you for being part of this slow, beautiful unfolding.

“Remember, the words we speak are not just sounds in the air; they are the architects of our destiny, crafting the world we live & thrive in.”

  • I am married with two beautiful children. We reside in Atlantic Beach, Florida but are always open to exploring new places! We lived in San Diego, CA for some time an it will forever be our second home.

  • The first photograph I ever took—circa 2001 or 2 maybe—was of a yellow hibiscus on a tiny Kodak point and shoot. Horses are my spirit animal. I am mesmerized by the beauty, calm and wild nature they embody.

  • Oh, I can’t find where to begin... Just as I am sure other oceanic souls like me can attest, we are magnetically drawn to the sea and find rest, reset, escape and inspiration by its powerful and healing energy.

  • Wild horses, salt water, the way the sun glitters across the sea & free sketching are my current muses.
